Welcome to Hawaii!

As all of you know already, Collin is in Hawaii. His Mission President's wife sent these photo's to my mom of the first day Collin was there. He is in the "hood" of the Hawaii he says, in Makaha, Hawaii. He is biking almost 5 miles a day and is sure he has lost weight thanks to all the sweating, biking, and lack of momma's cooking/ Sonic. Collin and his companion are having great success and have 3 baptisms promised this month. In his last letter he left us with a great thought..

Don't be ashamed, Live it, Love it, Embrace it!

Leavin on a Jet Plane

I got a little behind on posting because of the birth of Collin's first nephew, Beckett, but now we about to back in business so get ready for some news from the sunny shore's of Hawaii. BUT first.. We need to back track a little bit.

These are pictures of the day Collin left for the Missionary Training Center. His flight to Salt Lake City left very early in the morning from Amarillo. When he reached SLC, Ryan, Collin's brother, and his wife, Juliette, picked him up and took him down and dropped him off 50 miles south in Provo.

ALOHA!

Collin is officially in Hawaii! He arrived on November 1st. He called my parents from the airport let them know that he is doing great. He was going to be staying the night in the mission home the first night and then out in the mission field on the 2nd. How exciting! He did mention that he would love more letters from friends and family (something I'm sure all missionaries want).

Here is his new updated address!

A Texas Luau

Last Sunday, after Collin spoke in church, my parents had close friends and family come over to the house, for a Texas Luau. My grandparents from Arizona even made a surprise trip to send Collin off. Collin had requested brisket to be served and my mom delegated it out from there! It was a beautiful day, he had a great turn out for church and for the luau! Because I wasn't there I will let the photo's tell the story.

Called to Serve

This is the start of Elder Collin Hall's mission blog. I (Ashley, his sister) have been asked by Collin to keep a blog for him. I will be updating it as frequently as I get news and will be sharing stories and photo's from his daily life. I guess I should tell you where he is serving though before I get to far ahead of myself.

Collin has been called to serve in Honolulu, Hawaii!

My grandfather served the in the SAME mission 1955-1957.. So crazy!

The Mission covers ALL the Islands...

Collin reports to the MTC, in Provo, Utah, October 12th!
